Why is it that a political candidate spends thousands and thousands of dollars to get reelected? I’m sure we’ve all noticed the large semi trailers with a certain candidate’s reelection signage on it, as well as radio ads and numerous other advertisements. All of that adds up to thousands and thousands of dollars just to get elected to a political office. why???

In addition to the story below, there is an open KSP investigation involving two state troopers, one active and one retired, who violated the civil liberties of a high ranking Floyd county official. It is our understanding that the KSP has concluded the investigation but will not close it. It is our understanding that the active trooper involved in the investigation has been reprimanded. It is believed the KSP will not close the investigation due to fear of law suits.

Two current Kentucky State Police troopers and one former KSP trooper were indicted Wednesday for using excessive force, conspiring to cover it up and illegally entering a home.

We just caught this on someone else’s page. Floyd County Sheriff, John Hunt, was part of the collective that was invited to discuss with Gov. Beshear, Rep. Hal Rogers and President Biden, the loss, devastation and needs of the flood victims in the eight counties that were flooded.

When elected officials can set aside petty differences and partisan politics …that is when government best serves the public!

Why are the campaign signs of the losing candidates still standing and have not been removed. Do the candidates who lost have no respect for our local laws and ordinances……or the people of Floyd County ?

Primary 2022
All incumbents win except for Jailer. But the big story is how Sheriff Hunt handedly defeats both democrat and republican opponents. As one supporter of Sheriff Hunt posted “…no matter if the voter was democrat or republican, they want Hunt as their Sheriff”.
