🔴 Help our community heroes🔴

We will be collecting hydration supplies to help our area's first responders!!

We will be collecting items such as bottled water, Gatorade, Liquid IV, and other hydration supplies that will be distributed among local volunteer fire departments.

Feel free to drop off any of the items mentioned above to the Jefferson County Fair Grounds at the Red Exhibit Barn on Saturday August 1st or August 8th between the hours of 8am-4pm!

The White Pine Police Department is proud to announce that Officer Chris Edmonds has successfully completed the Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) certification course offered through the Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO). This specialized training allows Officer Edmonds to properly inspect and install child safety seats to help ensure children are traveling as safely as possible.

Thanks to this program, the White Pine Police Department has also received a supply of child car seats and booster seats that are available for families who are truly in need. If you are experiencing financial hardship and need assistance obtaining a child safety seat, please contact us to see if you qualify.

If you would like to schedule an appointment to:
1. Have a child safety seat professionally installed.
2. Have your current car seat inspected to ensure it is installed correctly.
3. Ask questions about child passenger safety.

WPFD responded this evening to a Motor Vehicle Crash in the Baneberry Community. As a result, aeromedical transport was required which temporarily closed roadways in and around the area. WPFD clearing now.

A Public Notice!

During summer months WPFD will working on annual fire hydrant testing and maintenance.

Occasionally you may see fire trucks in and around your neighborhoods working to ensure the hydrants are in good shape and ready for use should we need them! If you notice discoloration in your water this is likely the culprit. Flushing and testing of hydrants can cause sediment in the lines to be stirred up, generally running your water just a minute longer can clear up any discoloration that may be present. If you see our firefighters out please give them a little extra room to work especially on the roadways!
