Carp Lake Township was officially established and organized by township supervisors on January 26, 1864, laying the foundation for a community deeply rooted in Michigan’s rich natural and historical heritage.

We are having some discrepancies with some folks about signage and right of way, at this point if everybody could keep signage whether it is for sale or political and vehicles and trailers 10 feet off the curb line that would be appreciated.

There will be a special meeting Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at 5:30 at the Carp Lake Township building, in White Pine. We will be talking about the current cease and desist  order, pending lawsuits, new ORV connecting trail.

Weather permitting they will start paving Main Street in White Pine tomorrow. Please use caution if you need to use it, but it would be appreciated If you would use Hemlock Street in and out of town. Please use Mineral River Drive for the Post Office and Konteka thank you

Work has begun on the reclamation of Main Street. Please use caution if you have to use it or use Hemlock Street as the main entrance into White Pine,to access the Konteka and the Mall please use Mineral River Drive.

Local hero signs have been placed on Hemlock Street in White Pine, please come view them. They are turning out awesome.
