The Board unanimously approved new County property tax exemptions benefiting surviving spouses of police officers, volunteer firefighters, and ambulance service members who died in the line of duty, active-duty service members in combat zones, and veterans with severe disabilities resulting from their service.

The Board took another step to protect young people from harmful va**ng products.

Legislators unanimously passed a measure that gives County health officials greater power to enforce New York's flavored v**e ban and crack down on e-cigarettes disguised as everyday items such as highlighters and smartphone cases.

The new law helps health officials hold retailers accountable and keep these products out of the hands of Westchester's youth.
