Celebrating 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 Pride is a matter of life and death, particularly for our youth. The ongoing discrimination and dehumanization that LGBTQ+ community members face is putting lives in danger. We see political operatives use LGBTQ+ issues as a wedge in elections without regard for the impact on community members struggling with acceptance. Croton Pride is the local antidote to this organized hate. Croton Pride fosters a culture of belonging, support, and celebration of our LGBTQ+ community—without mincing words about what is at stake. From monthly Queeraoke events, to tabling at every community-wide event, Croton Pride is there to create a safe space for everyone. Glad to honor them for the Board’s LGBTQ+ Pride Month Celebration 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

CONGRATULATIONS to Hendrick Hudson ⚓️ High School on its 100th 🌟 Anniversary! Glad to spend an evening of celebration with school district leaders and community members supporting this gem. We’ve had a challenging few years dealing with the impact of the closure of Indian Point, but our community continues to put its full support behind the schools ensuring they receive the resources they need for every student to thrive. Onward!

This workshop will help participants filter the noise and explore the effects of misinformation on our worldview and the decisions that we make every day. Proud to honor Croton’s own Keiko Niccolini, an environmental justice change-maker and sustainability expert, during the Board’s Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration.

Keiko is a force of nature in our community. We honor Keiko for her advocacy and her proven ability to unite people for the sake of our planet. From her hands-on stewardship of residential food scrap recycling programs to her work advising government officials, she has dedicated her life to ensuring a greener future for all.
