During my junior year of high school, I spent a lot of my time researching and touring all the colleges I was interested in. I figured out the University of Rhode Island was where I wanted to
be, and early this fall I applied early decision to URI. Shortly after, I got accepted. I committed to URI immediately and this is where my academic career will continue. I originally planned to continue my academic career in the business field, but now my
interests in other aspects have grown stronger and I have a better understanding of what I really want to do. I have realized that working with kids is what truly makes me happy. I’ve known for a while that this has been an interest of mine and something I am good at, but I was more focused on business for my future financial security. Now I’ve realized that my happiness should come first, so I plan on switching my major and exploring the possible future careers I could have working with children. Some of my ideas for my possible careers are elementary school
counselor, teacher, school social worker.

More Senior Spotlight!
Hello! My name is Ella Prebish. I am from Windsor, Vermont and I attend Windsor High School. Aside from going to Windsor my entire life, I also am in Level ll Business, Entrepreneurship, & Marketing class at Hartford Area and Career Technical Center. I just recently committed to Husson University in Bangor, Maine. I plan to major in Wildlife & Conservation Biology and minor in Financial Planning. Since a young age growing up constantly outside, I have always been interested in the conservation of wildlife and forests. Since being in the Business program, I also have learned I really enjoy working with finances and the process of making sure numbers match. Coming out of college, I plan to hopefully either be a fish & game warden or a personal financial advisor.
