We are saddened to share that our long-time School Board Member Raymond Patterson passed away on June 4. In addition to serving for two decades on the board, Raymond was a PTA life member, volunteering hundreds of hours in our schools.
He was passionate about Career and Technical Education and committed to equipping students with the skills and opportunities needed to thrive in the workforce after graduation. He served on numerous WSISD committees, including multiple Long-Range Facilities Planning Committees, helping guide successful bond programs that led to the construction of Brewer High School, Tannahill Intermediate, North STEAM Academy, projects included in the district’s most recent bond program and more.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Brewer High School Auditorium Tuesday, June 9 at 4 p.m. Individuals attending should enter Brewer High School through the east side doors (F-Hall by the pond) or the cafeteria doors.
Raymond Harrion Patterson, 64, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on June 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Fort Worth, Raymond spent most of his professional career in the fire protection industry, a field that reflected his lifelong commitment to protecting and serving others.....
