Recreational drones may seem harmless, but flying one near an active wildfire can force firefighting aircraft to stop operations immediately.

When aircraft are grounded, firefighters lose critical aerial support, allowing fires to grow and putting lives, homes, and first responders at greater risk.

If you see smoke or an active wildfire:
❌ Don’t fly your drone.
✅ Stay clear of the area.
✅ Give firefighting aircraft the airspace they need to protect Montana communities.

Today we were presented with a magnificent grant award from AG West Farm Credit. This grant will be used to purchase a newer structure truck. We can not be more grateful to AG West Farm Credit for this opportunity to upgrade our aging fleet. We are actively searching for a replacement truck for Engine 1. AgWest Farm Credit

Trailer Safety (Fire & Hitch Safety)Loose safety chains dragging on the highway can throw sparks and cause devastating wildfires.Cross them in an "X": Attach chains underneath the trailer hitch to form an "X" pattern, which catches the trailer tongue if the hitch fails.Check the clearance: Ensure chains are suspended with at least 5 inches of clearance from the pavement.Take up slack: If they are too low, twist the chains a few times or secure the excess slack using zip ties, rope, or a bungee.
