The library is open today (Friday, December 30) until 5:30PM. We are closed Saturday and Sunday for the New Year. Stop by today and grab one of our new publications available for library patrons talking about new books. Booklist Reader is free for the taking, thanks to our Friends of the Whitefish Bay Public Library! Find it near our Book Page, also paid for by Friends đ!
The giant box in front of the library has been opened and we are one step closer to making library materials available for pickup 24/7! Stay tuned for more information about this great new service coming in the weeks ahead.

The Milwaukee Public Library is home to more than 2.5 million books â but itâs their TikTok videos that are writing their next chapter. The pop-culture inspired videos from employees have become a hit, racking up millions of views. NBC's Jacob Soboroff reports for TODAY.

We are open today, Friday, December 23rd! We invite you to stop by if you need a warm place to stay, or if you just need some books or movies or a puzzle in preparation for this weekend.
As a reminder, WFBPL will be closed Saturday, December 24th and Sunday, December 25th.
With the oncoming storm, itâs possible that the library may close early on Thursday and be closed on Friday. We will be closed on Saturday, December 24 and Sunday, December 25 for the holiday.
If you want to make sure you get your items before the weekend, it would be best to try and get them by 5PM Thursday. For the most up-to-date information on closures, check the library website or our page.
We can't predict the future. But we do know we are open now so stop by to grab some great reads before the big storm hits. The holidays are right around the corner and the library will be closed on Saturday, December 24 and Sunday, December 25. We are also closed on Saturday, December 31 and Sunday, January 1. We will be open regular hours on those Fridays and Mondays before and after the holidays.

Thanks to all the folks who came out to celebrate the 85th anniversary of Whitefish Bay Public Library at the beginning of October! We had beautiful weather, entertaining performances from Truly Remarkable Loon and Yid Vicious, delicious food, games, and face painting and more. Thanks to our amazing volunteers for making the event such a success. And thanks to Friends of the Whitefish Bay Public Library as always for their generous support.
Are the owner of this beautiful baby blanket? It was left at the library on election day in our lobby, and we are trying to reunite it with its owner. It's a Pottery Barn Kids blanket, and it has a name embroidered on it. If it belongs to you, reach out and we'll reunite you!

Our systems have been restored. You can now access CountyCat, CountyCat Mobile and all of our digital resources except for Ancestry, which is offline for now. We are working to correct Ancestry, but everything else should be up.

On the morning of Wednesday November 9, 2022 starting at 6:00 am CST, the Milwaukee County Federated Library System will be migrating its library network.
The scheduled maintenance impacts all public libraries in Milwaukee County. Whitefish Bay Public Library will be open and you will be able to checkout materials, but you'll need to have your library card or a picture of your library barcode.
While our libraries will be open this day, CountyCat, CountyCat Mobile and all resources or services with a connection to our library system (such as Hoopla, OverDrive/Libby, Creativebug, Kanopy, etc.) will be unavailable for the duration of the scheduled maintenance. If you have downloaded titles from any online service in advance, then you will be able to use them that day. Patrons just wonât be able to checkout, stream or download NEW items during the outage.
We'll let you know once things are back up!

On Saturday, November 5, hours are 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. And on Sunday, November 6, hours are from noon to 3 p.m. for the popular bag sale. Fill a bag for $5. Bags will be supplied!
On Friday, November 4, our usual Friends Night â for Friends of the Whitefish Bay Public Library - will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. If youâre not a Friend, you can join Friday night and attend the Friday night sale for as little as $15 annually.
