k and Whitefish Mountain Resort, the town is surrounded by hundreds of lakes, including Whitefish Lake, and scenic rivers. The location of the valley keeps it safe from extreme climate changes encountered in other portions of Montana, making it ideal for year-round recreation. It is not uncommon to visit Whitefish Mountain Resort for spectacular skiing in the winter and find yourself returning to Whitefish to explore the many summer adventures the area has to offer. Many have visited for a week and had wished they had stayed for a month. There is so much to do you will find yourself wanting to come back again and again and again. It will truly capture a place in your hearts as it did ours. Which is how we ended up in the one of the most beautiful places in the world. Over ten years ago we were on a family vacation to visit the National Parks in Montana and our journey took us to Whitefish. We fell in love with the area so much that we were back the next month and bought our first vacation rental there. Now we have two charming vacation rentals and wish we had more to share with the many visitors wishing to come to see for themselves that this truly is the “Last Best Place.”
