🔥 FIRE WEATHER WATCH – NORTHWEST MONTANA 🔥
Hot, dry, and windy conditions are expected to increase wildfire danger this weekend.

The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch for portions of Northwest Montana. A dry front is expected to bring gusty winds and low relative humidity, creating conditions where fires can start easily and spread rapidly beginning the afternoon of Saturday, August 1st through late evening or longer.

đźš« Please help prevent wildfires:
• Avoid outdoor burning when conditions are dry or windy.
• Never leave a campfire unattended. Drown, stir, and feel to make sure it is completely out.
• Properly dispose of cigarettes—never toss them from a vehicle or onto dry vegetation.
• Secure trailer chains and make sure vehicles are not dragging metal on the roadway.
• Avoid parking or driving on dry grass where hot exhaust components could ignite vegetation.
• Use extra caution with equipment, power tools, and anything that can create a spark.

One spark can become a wildfire. During periods of elevated fire danger, your actions can make a significant difference.
Stay Fire Weather Aware: Conditions can change quickly. Monitor local fire restrictions and weather information and be prepared to act if a wildfire threatens your area.
Help us prevent wildfires.
