Today is Flag Day, a time to recognize the American flag as a symbol of freedom, unity and service and what it represents to the nation.

Did you know there is a proper way to retire an American flag when it is no longer fit for display? The Trempealeau County Veterans Office operates a flag retirement program to ensure worn and damaged flags are respectfully honored and properly disposed of. Thank you to the Veterans Office for providing this important service to the community.

Residents can drop off flags that are faded, torn or otherwise no longer suitable for display at the Trempealeau County Government Center, 18600 Hobson St., Whitehall, for proper retirement.

Wishing you a meaningful and patriotic Flag Day.

Last week we held our Final Affairs Conference, and what an incredible day it was!

We were thrilled to welcome a full house of attendees who spent the day learning how to make informed decisions, prepare for the future, and put important plans in place. πŸ’™

🏒 A huge thank you to the Wanek Center in Arcadia for providing such an amazing space and helping make this event a success.

πŸ‘ We'd also like to extend our sincere gratitude to our outstanding presenters:
β€’ GWAAR Attorney Polly Shoemaker
β€’ Death Doulas Dawn Briskey and Deirdre Jenkins
β€’ St. Croix Hospice

πŸ“Έ We didn't capture as many photos as we would have liked, but we're excited to share a few highlights from the day, including photos of our presenters and resource tables. Thank you to Trempealeau County Public Health for being part of the conference and hosting an informational table.

The positive response to this event has us excited about the possibility of offering it again in the future! If you have questions about advance planning, final affairs, or any of the topics discussed during the conference, please don't hesitate to give us a call. We're here to help.

❀️ Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event such a success!

This or That?! 🏑🌊

At the Blair Senior Meal yesterday, we played Would You Rather?

First Question: Would you rather vacation at a cabin on a lake or on the beach?

100% of our diners chose the cabin on the lake! The only vote for the beach came from Melissa from the ADRC! πŸ™‚

What would you choose? Let us know in the comments! πŸ‘‡

Our ADRC Senior Meals are always full of good food, fun, and surprises. Join us this summer and leave the cooking to us! 🍽🌞
