Today! WCHI's next Free Community Meal is Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 4PM-6PM (or until the food runs out) at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church (Use the entrance on Third & Cherry Alley) 835 Third St, Whitehall 610-533-1357. Our guests will be served hot dogs, hamburger BBQ, macaroni salad, baked beans, deviled eggs, dessert and beverages. This is a sit down meal with take out available and is guaranteed for the first 100 guests. Children, adults and seniors of Whitehall-Coplay School District are welcome. Thank you St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church for hosting this meal.

WCHI's next Free Community Meal is Tuesday, July 21 2026 from 4PM-6PM (or until the food runs out) at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 4331 Main St, Whitehall 610-730-3184. Our guests will be served barbecued pulled pork sandwiches, pierogies, coleslaw, applesauce and angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream. This is a sit down meal with take out available guaranteed for the first 75 guests. Children, adults and seniors of Whitehall-Coplay School District are welcome. Thank you Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Egypt PA for hosting this meal.

On Tuesday we weeded, watered and harvested! 23 lbs of zucchini and 1.5 lbs of sweet and jalapeño peppers. We had some help from 2 Girl Scouts and their moms from Troop 6173. The zucchini being held high weighed 3 pounds!

A few smaller zucchini were left on the vine but will be picked to be available at the Free Community Meal, Tuesday at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church.

Our guests will be served hot dogs, hamburgers, macaroni, potato and pasta salads, chips and homemade baked goods. This is a sit down meal with take out available, guaranteed for the first 100 guests. Children, adults and seniors of Whitehal-Coplay School District are welcome.
