In between emergency calls, on-duty training, and new hire testing, we’ve had our most important type of community events - Career Day with our elementary schools!

Crews on Engines 141 and 128 visited with elementary students across the county and had the best time! Students were introduced to the engine, firefighter gear and tools, plus ran a junior physical agility!

05/12/2026

Day 3 of testing is complete!

More than 60 candidates showed up and showed out for the physical agility test.

A new “best time” was set for the County!

At the end of the process, fewer than 10 will get to call themselves SCESD 2 firefighters! Let’s go!

Team work makes the dream work!

Arp Police Department TX received a donation of several A.E.D.s (Automated External Defibrillator). After a joint lunch, the crew at Station 41 trained the on-duty officers on both the A.E.D.s for the patrol vehicles and the smaller devices for the office.

To all of our incredible mothers, we hope you have the best day!
