A clothing closet season change is coming at Resources of Hope!

👋 Goodbye, T-shirts and shorts…
🧥 Hello, sweaters, hoodies, jeans & cozy weather!

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be transitioning our clothing closet from summer to fall and winter. That means warmer clothes, cozy layers, jackets, and all the things families need as Indiana temperatures start to drop.

Have fall or winter clothing to donate? Now is a great time to help us stock the closet for the season ahead!

And if your family needs clothing, remember—Resources of Hope is here for you. 💙

✨ Teen Connect – Girls is TOMORROW! ✨

We’re getting together for an evening of creativity, connection, and fun! 💕

Tomorrow night, our girls will enjoy dinner together, make fidget keychains and squishies, and have plenty of time to hang out, laugh, and connect with one another. 🥰

Teen Connect is a safe space for girls in foster, kinship, or adoptive families to simply be themselves, build friendships, and know they are not alone.

🐾 Woof Woof! 🐾

Did we get your attention? Today is National Dog Day—but don’t get us wrong, we DO NOT need dogs! 🐶

What we do need is YOUR HELP!🆘

👉This Wednesday, we’re wishing for baby bouncers and baby swings for families taking in our tiny community members. 👶🍼

If you have a gently used baby bouncer or swing that your family no longer needs, please consider donating it to Resources of Hope.

Oh AND do you know what we really like when getting gently used items ?
Items that are not damaged, no missing pieces, and clean. This makes our volunteers' hearts smile. Every time you donate with dignity, you make a difference! 💕

⏰WE WILL BE TAKING THESE SPECIFIC DONATIONS THIS FRIDAY, August 28th during normal business hours 9am-5pm.
👉All other donations can continue to be dropped off on Monday and Wednesdays 9am-5pm.

A Season of Hope 💜

There’s been a lot happening behind the scenes at Resources of Hope, and we’re so grateful for every opportunity to serve our families with dignity and compassion. We are more than donations. We are building relationships, providing hope and spreading important awareness about the needs of the foster and kinship families in Indiana.

🍂 Preparing for Fall and Winter: We’re getting ready for our seasonal closet switch-over so families can access the clothing and resources they need as the weather changes.

🎂 Birthday Blessings: We’ve been busy fulfilling birthday blessings, helping make special moments a little brighter for children and families in our community.

💜 Planning for What’s Ahead: We’re also working behind the scenes to plan upcoming programs and opportunities that will continue to provide connection, support, and hope to kids, teens and adults.

Every donation, volunteer hour, shared post, and word of encouragement helps make this work possible.
Thank you for being part of the family and helping us continue to bring Resources of Hope to our community.

Community in Action: Thank You, Endress+Hauser! 💙

We are incredibly grateful to Endress+Hauser and their amazing team for hosting a donation drive benefiting Resources of Hope

The 1250 items that these amazing summer interns: Kate, Graham, Elle, Sophie, Alida, Joshua and Eme collected, represents more than a donation—it is a reminder to children and families that their community sees them, values them, and is here to support them.

❤️ Reminder: we accept accept new, and gently used items that allow us to provide what foster youth need, and empower a sense of dignity. We do not accept damaged, stained or outdated clothing, toys etc.

How do we organize the hundreds of clothing pieces we have available for kids in foster/kinship care?

By having AMAZING people volunteer their time. We know everyone is busy and time is so precious. We are so grateful to everyone who chooses to help us support kids in foster care.

🌱 TEEN CONNECT IS TOMORROW NIGHT! 🌱

We’re getting our hands dirty at Teen Connect tomorrow night! 🪴💚

We’ll start the evening by sharing dinner together, then we’ll get creative by making our own planters and planting lettuce flowers to take home and grow! 🥬🌸

Teen Connect is a place for youth ages 12–17 in foster/kinship care, or adopted to connect, have fun, build relationships, and know they are seen, valued, and cared for.
