Are you passionate about helping kids in foster care? Looking for a fulfilling and impactful position that is more than "just a job"? We're looking to add to our team!

Job Title: Programs & Operations Assistant
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM Additional hours available.

Position Overview
Resources of Hope works to ensure a brighter future for every Indiana child in foster care by providing practical support, meaningful connections, and life-giving resources to children, teens, and foster/kinship families. Resources of Hope is seeking a compassionate and organized Programs & Operations Assistant to support several programs serving children and families involved in foster care. This role helps ensure programs run smoothly by assisting with program preparation, organizing donations, communicating with foster families, and supporting outreach efforts.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, driven, and passionate about supporting the mission of Resources of Hope.

Last night was our 4th Annual Teen Shopping Spree! Each registered teen received a $200 budget, a shopping list, a dedicated shopping buddy, and one important instruction: HAVE FUN while picking out items just for themselves. 💚

The impact of this experience is truly immeasurable.

More than the clothes and essentials, we hope every teen felt seen, valued, and deeply loved by the volunteers who showed up for them. We hope they walked away knowing there are people who care, people who believe in them, and people cheering them on.

Our 4th Annual Teen Shopping Spree wouldn't have been made possible without our amazing volunteers. A HUGE shoutout to Tony, Michelle, Travis and Janee for sponsoring our teens. 💚 Thank you for believe in us and this amazing night. 💚

The answer might surprise you. The following are ages of kids that ENTERED the foster system in 2025*.

👶 Less than 1 year: 31,814
🧸 Ages 1–5: 46,954
🎒 Ages 6–10: 36,686
🧑‍🎓 Ages 11–16: 48,289
🚗 Age 17: 6,712
💼 Ages 18–23: 4,553

There isn’t just one “type” of child in foster care.

It’s infants.
It’s toddlers.
It’s school-aged kids.
It’s teenagers preparing for adulthood—often without a permanent support system.

But one group stands out:
Older youth—especially teens—are among the most likely to wait the longest for stability, connection, and support.
