River Rd remains closed as of today October 1st.

Safety concerns regarding possible erosion from approximately Crocker Dr to the footbridge off Orchard Rd are still high. It is unclear when the closure will be lifted and normal use may resume.

Residents are asked to used caution, but are allowed to use N River Rd.

N River Rd is currently closed to traffic passing through.

Safety concerns have been raised due to the sudden increase of water and flow rate of the river. Certain areas have potential to wash out and erode under the pavement.

Residents of River road are allowed to enter River Rd. PD and Game and Fish will be monitoring the area.

We received a phone call from WMAT PD about Geronimo’s pass being flooded.

Use Extreme Caution if you plan to travel west on HWY 73. We are sending a truck to assess the severity of the roadway.

Today we remember of what happened 25 years ago today in New York City.
343 FDNY firefighters made the ultimate sacrifice for their fellow women and men. Many making the long trek up the towers to rescue those trapped.
They climbed 2,200 steps or 110 stories.
Today Firefighter Kessay participated in Sunrise Ski Resort’s Patriot walk. Walking from the base to summit of Sunrise peak in his FULL TURNOUT GEAR including his SCBA air pack.
We honor and remember those men and women across all walks of life that lost their life 25 years ago.
