WUSD Families: Today, September 2 is a full day of school. Tomorrow, September 3, there will be no school due to Fair Day. Then Monday, September 7, there will be no school due to Labor Day. School will resume on Tuesday, September 8.

Due to an issue with the front gate of the AC parking lot, all fans attending tonight’s games are asked to enter and exit through the side gate located on Cemetery Road.

A reminder that tonight is WUSD's first Federal Programs PAC meeting of the 2026-2027 school year! One agenda item will be a review of the Title VI Bylaws. Please see the bylaws below:

The members of the Federal Programs Parent Committee shall be as follows:

SECTION 1: ELIGIBILITY
A) Parents of eligible Native American students within the district.
B) Certified teachers of Whiteriver Unified School District.
C) Secondary students currently enrolled in Whiteriver Unified School District.

SECTION 2: SELECTION
A) Five parent representatives, actively involved with the school shall be elected to Federal Programs Parent Advisory Council.
B) At least 51% of the committee shall be parents or guardians of Native American students served within the school district.
C) Two Native American student representatives and two Native American student alternatives shall be elected to Federal Programs PAC. High school and Junior High school student body council will recommend.
D) Certified teachers, from each school site, of Whiteriver School District with an understanding of the basic program shall be elected to Federal Programs PAC.
E) Any officers or parent committee members in a secret ballot whenever it is in the best interest of Federal Programs PAC.
F) Staff members paid directly by Title VI Indian Education grant are not eligible for officer positions.
G) If an elected officer is a current Federal employee, they will follow the appropriate procedure to obtain a letter of waiver.

SECTION 5: VACANCIES
A) Any representative or officers who cannot fulfill his/her duties shall be given the opportunity to discuss the reasons with Federal Programs PAC and to act accordingly.
i) If a member misses two consecutive meetings in a row without notification shall be subject to removal.
B) A teacher representative who no longer works in the school district shall automatically relinquish his/her membership.
C) If a PAC member resigns or is removed, the PAC may elect or appoint a replacement.

SECTION 6: QUORUM
A) A quorum for Federal Programs PAC meeting (necessary for transaction of official business) shall consist of five voting members.
