Please be alert, school buses are out again, and we are also rebuilding some sanitary manholes and flushing sewer lines. There may be some short delays allow time and be alert please !!!

Fall is on its way, some leaves are starting to fall already. Please put them in containers with handles for easier pick up and cleaner for our streets / storm basins. Our leaf machines will not be out for a few weeks yet. 
Also, reminder, Highway does not clean up after Tree companies !

The trash pick up for 2026 is complete. Roughly we picked up 260 ton of trash. This is not counting metal plastic or TVs electronics. This year we had to borrow Packers from town of Marcy and the village of Whitesboro. We all work together in the shared service agreement. 
Monday, June 15, we will start back on our regular green waste collection
Also, our 2026 hot mix Paving is also complete ! The town of Marcy and the town Westmoreland helped us with this process . Thank you !! 😊 We still have a couple of roads to oil and stone and some crack filling

Oneida – Herkimer solid waste authority, requires us to separate materials.
Basically four categories, trash, metal, electronics, bulk plastic.
 Unfortunately this year we are down to packer trucks, so we are a lot slower with Metal and plastic. We are still picking them up but slower because we are using smaller dump trucks.
Please be patient  with us we will get there ! Thanks

Reminder; whitestown is starting their annual trash pick up June 1. Please have everything out by 6 AM. Hopefully everyone received a notice if not call highway at 315-736-4531 with any questions.

Our Highway Department crew again has done a great job this year sweeping our streets!!
Within the next few weeks as weather permits, and we have dry topsoil will be around repairing any lawn damage from our snow plows . The green waste crew will also be around weakly now til Thanksgiving.  please help us out by placing leaves and small branches in containers with handles for easier pick up and to keep our clean streets clean! Thanks 😊
