Our hearts are heavy as we stand with our brothers and sisters at Odessa Fire Rescue after today’s tragic line-of-duty loss.

Our deepest condolences go to the fallen firefighter’s family and crew, and our prayers are with the two injured firefighters.

The fire service is one family. When one hurts, we all hurt.

Rest easy, brother.

Yesterday was a great success at our Babysitter Academy! We were excited to welcome a group of young babysitters who spent the day learning important skills to help keep the children in their care safe.

A huge thank you goes out to FF/PM Taylor Jeffrey, FF/PM Rustin Reedy, Police Officer Lew Hatch, and Dispatch Supervisor Curlen Barger for sharing their time, knowledge, and experience to make today’s class such an outstanding event.

We are proud to invest in our community and provide opportunities that help make our families safer. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this Babysitter Academy a success!

If you haven't heard, Whitesboro Fire Department can teach you CPR and AED use. We will come to your organization or workplace to train you and your peers. Keep an eye out for scheduled classes, like the upcoming Baby Sitter Academy, that we teach at the fire station.

We would like to thank our department's CPR instructors, shifts, and community partners who have worked together to train over 300 people in our community so far this year!

Sherwood Shores Fire was dispatched as mutual aid to a vehicle fire on Bewley Rd in Gordonville. Crews responded and extinguished the fire; fortunately, there were no injuries.
