Beneath the U.S. flag that proudly flies,
We pause with gratefulness and tears in our eyes.
For those who marched, who fought, who fell,
Their silent stories, time will tell.

In fields afar and skies so gray,
They gave their all, they paved the way.
No medal, speech, or grand parade
Could've matched the ultimate price they paid.

Their names may fade, but not their spirit so brave.
Each heartbeat honors what their closing breath gave.
Freedom blooms where courage proudly stood.
In blood-soaked earth, in lasting brotherhood.

So on this day, we bow our heads,
Among the crosses, stars, and deathbeds.
A whispered vow, a sacred debt,
We live, we love—we don’t forget.

Kim and I love ministering to our soldiers. Kim's service dog for mobility, Crow, helps break the ice with new soldiers we meet.

A big congratulations to my wife Kim for receiving the Longhorn award as an SFRG Leader for the Texas National Guard by supporting the Soldiers and families of the Texas Military Department.

A second congratulations to Kim and her team for being awarded the Soldier and Family Readiness Group of the Year for outstanding service to the Soldier and Family Readiness Program by demonstrating the spirit of teamwork in providing and disseminating information to Service Members and their families.
