We are so excited for Monday as we cut into our Summer Reading Program with a Metal Forging Demonstration followed by a fun craft. This event is for everyone, so come on out at 11:30 am on Monday, June 8th.

In preparation for Monday's Blacksmith Demo at 11:30am, we read a book about a blacksmith. For our craft we made swords and decorated them! Charlene and Luke battled it out while riding our library dinosaurs!

A special thank you to Paula Burke from UGA Extension at the Carroll County Ag Center for coming out yesterday and giving a presentation at our "Chat & Chew" program on the Great Southeast Pollinator Census. We appreciate you!

What a wonderful time we had last Thursday at our Summer Reading Program Kickoff Party! Thank you so much to the Friends of the Whitesburg Public Library for generously hosting the event and providing food for all of our guests. Also, a special thank you to Sweethearts Ice Cream Truck for coming out and providing ice cream to everyone.
It still is not too late to sign up for the Summer Reading Program if you have not already done so. We look forward to seeing everyone at our next event on Monday, June 8th at 11:30 am as we have a blacksmith coming to do a metal forging demonstration.

We had a great crowd today as we read Way Out in the Desert and looked for the hidden numbers. We each got to make a cactus and take it home. Join us next week on Wednesday at 11:30 am for another Story Time with a Craft.
