East Ridge Middle School

East Ridge Middle School At East Ridge Middle, we aim high and achieve together— inspiring every student to succeed today and lead with confidence tomorrow.

East Ridge Middle School began as a 65,000 square foot open-spaced, nongraded school and opened the doors to students on September 1, 1972. In January, 2001, East Ridge moved into its present new building with all enclosed, individual classrooms. The old building is now the Russellville Intermediate School. Student enrollment at East Ridge is about 648. The sixth, seventh, and eighth graders enjoy

a curriculum of academic and related arts subjects as well as opportunities for participating in many before and after school activities.

This week begins a new adventure for Mrs. Erin Winstead. She takes over as our school's Instructional Facilitator to ensure that our instruction continues to be strong and consistent. She brings many years of successful teaching experience at both Union Heights and East Ridge and has taught all four academic subjects at some point. Congratulations on this new journey, Mrs. Winstead!
