The Town Council meeting was held last night (6/10). Here’s a recap of the key discussions and decisions made:
OPENING OF MEETING
• The meeting commenced with council members Hancock, Patterson, Smock, and Thomas in attendance, marking the official start of the session. (Nichols was not in attendance.)

• C. Second Reading, Consider Adoption of Ordinance 2026-23: Utility Work Resident Notification. Approved with a vote of 4-0.

• F. Consider Adoption of Resolution 2026-06: Establishing the Whitestown – 65 Commerce West Economic Development Area and Allocation Area. Approved with a vote of 4-0.
• G. First Reading of Ordinance 2026-31: Authorizing the Issuance of Economic Development Revenue Bonds (65 Commerce Park West Project) for Public Infrastructure Improvements Associated with the Development of 65 Commerce Park West by SCP Acquisitions, LLC and Ambrose Property Group, LLC.
NEW BUSINESS
• A. Consider Adoption of Resolution 2026-09: Declaring an Enlarged Economic Revitalization Area and Approving an Amended Tax Abatement Application for AMS Land Acquisitions, LLC. Approved with a vote of 4-0.
• B. Consider Adoption of Resolution 2026-07: A Resolution Amending Resolution 2009-06 Pertaining to Seized and Forfeited Property for the Whitestown Police Department. Approved with a vote of 4-0.
• C. First Reading of Ordinance 2026-25: Amendment to Ordinance 2024-08 to Update Public Works Bidding Thresholds in Accordance with Indiana Code 36-1-12-4.
• D. Consider Expenditure Exceeding $25,000; NTE $523,967 (LPA Consulting Contract with United Consulting for Whitestown Pky & CR525 Roundabout Design). Approved with a vote of 4-0.
• E. Consider Expenditure Exceeding $25,000; NTE $50,000 (For 2025-2026 School Resource Officers). Approved with a vote of 4-0.
• F. Consider Expenditure Exceeding $25,000; NTE $50,000 for Inspection for Pedestrian Bridge at Jackson Run. Approved with a vote of 4-0.
• G. First Reading of Ordinance 2026-30: An ordinance to consider vacating a portion of public right-of-way (alley) running east and west between South Buck Street and South Bowers Street.
• H. Public Hearing for Ordinance 2026-30.
• I. First Reading of Ordinance 2026-29: Establishing Twice-Monthly Regular Meetings of the Whitestown Town Council (second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m.).
• J. Consider a Proclamation by the Whitestown Town Council to designate the last Friday of April as Arbor Day in the Town of Whitestown. Approved with a vote of 4-0.
• K. Consider Adoption of Resolution 2026-10: Adopting the Updated Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan for Public Facilities for the Town of Whitestown, Indiana. Approved with a vote of 4-0.
