What an unforgettable morning at our Cowboy Poetry gathering today! 🐎

The library was filled with music, heart, and incredible storytelling:

Jim Thompson stirred our hearts with gripping tales and poems, taking a quiet moment to honor the bravery and sacrifice of the heroes we lost on 9/11. 🇺🇸

Alvin McAmis set the perfect mood with his fantastic music—there were plenty of toes tapping in the room! 🎸🎶

Raven Beld from Edgewood Healthcare touched everyone's heart by reading a beautiful piece from her mother's poetry collection. ❤️

Bruce Roseland, the Poet Laureate of South Dakota, graced us with a special reading and generously gifted a stack of his books to our library shelves! 📚

A huge thank-you to our magnificent performers for sharing their talents, and to every neighbor who rode on over to fill the seats. Days like today remind us just how special our community is! Country trails might be long, but good company makes the ride sweet.

🌊🐠 UNDER THE OCEAN Story Time! 🐙🦀

What a WONDERFUL Story Time we had today! 💙 Our theme was UNDER THE OCEAN, and we had a sea-full of fun! 🌊✨

We started with our WELCOME SONG and got all those wiggles out before settling in for a fun book about some amazing creatures who live under the sea! 🐳🐡🐢

Then it was time for ocean facts, jokes, and a special group performance by our volunteers of“Five Little Fishes”! 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟 Let’s just say…we thought we were the SPICE GIRLS of the sea! 😂🎤🌊

We also learned how to sign OCEAN in sign language! 🤟🌊 Show and Tell was awesome; we had space ships, pictures, masks, snake skin, and more!

Next came craft time! 🎨 The kids had a blast with ocean-themed dot sticker sheets and coloring pages. 🐠⭐🐚

And of course, no Story Time would be complete without a special treat! Everyone received an ocean-themed treat bag before heading outside to CHASE BUBBLES IN THE PARK! 🫧🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

🐚🐳🐠 What a fin-tastic day! We sure had a whale of a time! 🐋💙
