This late summer and early fall is the perfect time of year to save seeds. We are always taking donations for our seed library and many of our patrons "check out" seeds starting in January. Don't know how to save seeds? Check out you tube for a seed saving basics video or search "save seeds from (name of plant)" to get specific directions.

Libby is now fixed, thank you for your patience!

Hi Libby users, we were notified that there is an issue with the connection between our library system and Overdrive, which runs Libby (audio and eBooks). We are working on getting that fixed as soon as possible. I will post an update as soon as I have one.

A couple of updates!

The town hall renovation project will be wrapping up near the end of August. Then we will have to get everything set up and ready to roll again before we open back up. No summer program this year which breaks our hearts but we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall.

Plant sale update: A few of the "yellow" lilies that were sold at the plant sale turned out to be orange. This definately was not all of them, we had many yellow lilies donated this year and many of them are truly yellow but a few orange ones seemed to have slipped in as well. Our plant donors are the best and always do their best to identify things for us but sometimes something just gets misidentified. Beautiful either way!

The Plant and Bake Sale is happening now at the Whiting Fire Department until noon! We have some great plants left and some delicious bake goods.

More plants came in today! The tables are filling up and we can't wait to see you all Friday from 4-8 or Saturday from 8-12. It's not to late to donate, we accept plant and baked donations until Saturday morning.

Prices that can't be beat! Healthy plants grown right in the Whiting area. Here is a preview of some of the stuff we have already. Check out the captions for more details. Accepting plant and baked donations through Saturday morning. We still have a few empty pots if you have plants but need pots. Save your spring planting pots for us for next year!
