🇺🇸 MEMORIAL DAY WEATHER & EVENT UPDATE 🇺🇸
We are aware of the weather forecast currently being discussed for Memorial Day and are continuing to monitor conditions closely.
At this time, the Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony are NOT canceled.
Please do not assume the events are canceled solely based on weather forecasts or social media speculation. Memorial Day observances have historically continued through varying weather conditions, including light rain and passing showers.
Unless otherwise officially announced by the Blackstone Valley Veterans Association, the parade and ceremony remain ON as scheduled.

🇺🇸 MEMORIAL SQUARE SALUTES 🇺🇸
📅 Memorial Day Morning – Monday, May 25
🕡 Salutes Begin: Approximately 6:30 AM
Throughout Memorial Day morning, veterans will travel throughout town conducting ceremonial rifle salutes, the rendering of honors, and the playing of Taps at the various memorial squares and soldiers memorials across Northbridge in remembrance of those who gave their lives in service to our nation.
We understand that the rifle volleys and salutes can occasionally catch people off guard, however these are longstanding ceremonial tributes conducted in remembrance and homage to those from our community who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Please also use caution while traveling throughout town during the morning hours, as veterans and volunteers are often gathered near roadways and memorial locations during these observances.
While not required by law, it is considered respectful and appropriate to stop your vehicle when safely able during the rendering of honors, rifle salutes, and the playing of Taps as a sign of respect for those who sacrificed so that we may continue to live in freedom today.

🇺🇸 MEMORIAL DAY PARADE & CEREMONY 🇺🇸
📍 Parade Muster Location:
315 Church Street, Northbridge
🕘 Muster Time:
Approximately 9:00 AM
🕙 Parade Step-Off:
10:00 AM (prompt)
🏛️ Ceremony Immediately Following:
Town Common / Memorial Park
Please also keep in mind that there are multiple veteran events, memorial activities, ceremonies, cemetery details, and observances occurring throughout Memorial Day weekend and Memorial Day morning itself. Veterans and volunteers have already spent weeks preparing memorial squares, placing wreaths, working throughout cemeteries, organizing flags, coordinating salutes, and preparing the many remembrance efforts taking place across town.
Because of the amount of moving pieces and ceremonial responsibilities occurring throughout the weekend, any updates — even if last minute — are being handled and communicated the best we can as conditions are monitored in real time.
If conditions were to become severe enough that the parade itself could not safely occur, the Memorial Day Ceremony would still be held indoors at the Great Hall at Town Hall.
We would still strongly encourage the public to attend.
While it may not carry the same visual pomp and circumstance as the parade itself, Memorial Day is ultimately about remembrance — honoring those who served and those who gave their lives so that we may live ours today.
Either way, ceremonies and observances WILL be held on Memorial Day.
We appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and continued support as we work to properly honor those who gave their lives in service to our nation.
🇺🇸 “Say Their Names.” 🇺🇸
Because as long as we continue to say their names, they are never forgotten
