Approximately 21 million citizens, under the age of 30, did not vote in 2012, and it is estimated that 3.2 million more people will fai
l to vote during the 2014 election cycle. While McCreary County saw a turnout higher than the state average during the 2014 primary election, numbers were still disproportionately low. The first act of business was to promote voting. began recording public service announcements ahead of the November General Elections, in an effort to stimulate interest and educate the electorate on the importance of casting votes.
