Several people have asked how they can help out. There are several ways. The most beneficial way at this time is to donate money so that we can purchase food at a good price. Cash or checks can be dropped off at the pantry during open hours (10-12 Mon-Thurs. and Sat.) or mailed to Food Pantry POB 711 Whitney Point NY 13862. There are also a few fund raisers going on to support the Pantry. Search Eloise Wescott on Facebook (collecting specific needed items during Nov.) and Sue Rick on Facebook (individuals purchase a ticket for the Festival of Lights at Otsiningo Park and a percentage of each sale will go to the Food Pantry.)
If you wish your monetary donation to go towards Thanksgiving and Christmas food for those who have signed up please indicate that in the memo area of the check or on the envelope if giving cash. We are so appreciative and grateful for our community members that are reaching out during this rough economic time as food prices increase and number of families in need grows.
