Update 7/9/25 @ 9:55 am: Crews are distributing bottled water again today. Yesterday, we delivered two water trucks, which filled the tank to two-thirds capacity, but it was unfortunately drained by 5:30 PM.
We have two more water trucks arriving today. We also have a mix of good and bad news regarding the well. The well puller retrieved multiple pieces of the pump motor yesterday, but not the entire motor. As a temporary solution, we've installed a smaller motor. This should provide a short-term fix until a more suitable time can be arranged for a complete well repair.
Please conserve water as much as possible. The boil water notice remains in effect until further notice.
Update 7/8/25 @ 3:40 pm: The second load of water has been delivered and pumped into the tank. You will have low pressure but at least some water. We have two more trucks scheduled to bring water tomorrow. The well puller is still trying to extract the broken pump. Continued prayers for the repairs to be made.
Update 7/8/25 @ 11:50 am: the first load of water has been delivered and the truck is leaving to get another. The well puller is still trying to extract the broken pump. We are praying their attempts will work.
UPDATE: We have two different companies working on the well pump additionally we are having water brought in to fill the tank tomorrow morning. Please conserve water tomorrow as much as possible. Boil notice will continue until further notice.
UPDATE: This morning, the well pulling company arrived as planned and successfully pulled the well. However, during the process, the pump broke in half, leaving the motor portion stuck in the pipe.
We have another crew en route from Austin, expected to arrive within two hours. They will be tasked with running a camera down the well to assess the situation and determine the best course of action for extracting the broken piece.
Due to the unpredictable nature of this issue, we cannot provide an estimated timeline for when water service will be restored. There are currently too many variables to give an accurate timeframe.
Please plan accordingly for the continued water outage. HILCO crews will be available to hand out bottled water.
We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.
UPDATE: Well pump is scheduled to be pulled out on Monday. I will provide information on estimated repair time as soon as I hear more.
