Are You a Helper?

The City of Whitney is looking to connect with individuals, churches, civic groups, nonprofits, businesses, and other organizations that are willing to help neighbors in need.

Some residents may need assistance with code compliance concerns such as lawn mowing, brush removal, junk cleanup, minor exterior cleanup, or similar services — but may not have the physical ability, financial resources, or support needed to address the issue on their own.

Our goal is to help create a path to assistance before a concern becomes a code enforcement issue.

If you or your organization has an existing program, or if you are willing to provide services at no charge to citizens who need help, we would love to hear from you. By working together, we can connect willing helpers with residents who could use a helping hand.

If you are interested in being part of this community resource effort, please contact the City of Whitney via email at [email protected] or phone at 254-694-2261.

Together, we can help keep Whitney clean, safe, and neighborly. 💙

🚑 Honoring EMS Week in Whitney 🚑

This week, we pause to recognize and honor the emergency medical services professionals who serve Whitney and the surrounding communities with courage, skill, and compassion.

EMS personnel are often called to meet people in some of life’s most difficult and critical moments. Their work requires sacrifice, steady hands, brave hearts, and a deep commitment to the well-being of others.

To our EMTs, paramedics, first responders, dispatchers, and emergency medical partners: thank you for your service, your strength, and your dedication to protecting life. We are grateful for the care you provide and the difference you make every day.

Please join us this week in thanking and honoring our EMS professionals.

✨ Graceful Spaces, Clearer Places ✨

Bulk pickup’s coming—last Wednesday’s the day,
So get on the list, don’t let it slip away!

Clear your space, add a little grace,
Let calm and beauty take its place 🌿

That chair, that couch, that “someday” pile—
It’s time to send them off in style 😌

Just call it in by Tuesday (don’t be late!),
So Wednesday can elevate your space.

Last Tuesday call, last Wednesday it’s gone—
And just like that, your glow lives on 💫

Less clutter, more peace… a beautiful embrace ✨
