Whittemore Pool is scheduled to open this Saturday, June 1st (weather permitting)!
Hours for June are 1:00-6:00pm daily. Purchase passes @ the Pool or City Hall! Swimming lessons are scheduled for July 8-12th,call Pool Manager Kylee for times and prices, private lessons are also available.

It’s time to start thinking about the upcoming season at the Whittemore Swimmimg Pool! 2024 Tickets can be purchased now at City Hall or during opening week of the new season at the Pool. If the weather cooperates we anticipate opening at 1:00 on Saturday, June 1. Daily hours June 1-30 will be 1:00 to 6:00 pm, staff & weather permitting:

Season Ticket Prices (all prices include applicable sales taxes)

Family: $110.00
Single/Individual: $75.00
10-Punch Card: $50.00
Daily Admission: $5.00 per person (good all day)

Hard to believe the 2023 Swim Season will soon be coming to an end 🥲 as the Managers and Lifeguards need to return to their regular schedules of school, sports practices. The final day of swimming at the WHITTEMORE Pool will be Friday, August 11th. Final whistle will blow at 5:45 pm.

Between now and then, be sure to enjoy the refreshing water daily between 1:00 and 6:00 pm. If you’re missing a towel, shirt, flip-flop, sunglasses, etc, check the “Lost & Found” during one of your visits.

We truly appreciate the 2023 employees who dedicated their summer hours to service at the WHITTEMORE Pool: Ella Nelson, Kylee Thilges, Avah Murphy, Aurora Peters, Ashton Peters, Gracie Grandgenett, Blake Grandgenett, Addison Fehr, Harper Nelson, Ellah Murphy, Kayla Buscher, Quintin Frambach, Grayden Forsythe, Hannah Noethe, and Kathy Dearchs.

Just so you know, the WHITTEMORE zero-depth pool is one of only two of its kind in Iowa! There is 140,000 sq ft of concrete surface at the facility and the pool holds 350,000 gallons of treated water when full.

Once the pool closes on August 11, no one will be allowed to trespass. Please abide by these rules and stay off the property for everyone’s sake and safety.

Due to Severe Thunderstorms in the area and the treat continuing until 10:00 pm, the Whittemore Swimming Pool has CLOSED for the day. There will be no evening swimming tonight, Monday, July 10, 2023. Thank you and stay safe everyone.

Due to COLD temperatures (below 70*) and rain forecast for Friday, July 7, 2023, the WHITTEMORE Swimming Pool will he CLOSED this afternoon and evening. Hoping for better conditions tomorrow!

Fourth of July hours are OPEN 1:00 to 5:00 (weather dependent) and CLOSED/no evening swimming to allow employees holiday time with familly and friends.
