Looks like a lot of people had fun this weekend! Reservoir road and lower Horsetail Falls trail have been groomed again for more action. The first hill after Lu Young Park on Shotgun Cove road has been groomed nice and wide for sledding! Here's the winter trail halfway through the grooming process.

Cove Creek Road and Reservoir Road up to the Horsetail falls trailhead have been groomed. Snow is a little soft for walking but doable. Excellent for skiing and snowshoeing. The trees provide excellent shelter from the wind. Have a good weekend!

Shotgun Cove Road and Reservoir Road have been groomed. Sugary snow conditions are great for skiing and snowshoeing. The snow isn't super deep, so the trails are totally still walkable as well.

We had a great time for our final Fresh Air Friday! Mr. Fish & Ms. Jamie took the kiddos snowshoeing in Portage Vally, where we discovered some beaver damns, moose tracks, and had some hot chocolate. Huge thanks to Josh and KMTA for putting so much effort and energy into making sure our Whittier kids get to have adventures ❄️☕️

Cove Creek road and Reservoir road groomed up to Horsetail Falls trailhead. The first hill after Lu Young Park on Shotgun Cove Road has been groomed as well. Will make for some fast sledding. Be careful! Hard crust snow everywhere else, great for walking.
