Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) verifies your identity with a quick second step at sign-in, like approving a prompt on your phone. This keeps your personal information, financial aid records, coursework and email secure.

This is a friendly reminder that a valid parking permit is required to park on campus. 🅿️🚗🚙

Please ensure you have either a $3 daily or a $40 FALL 2026 semester parking permit linked to your vehicle and that you are parking in designated student lots only. Student vehicles without a valid permit or parked in Staff lots may be cited.

Main Campus Update

We are pleased to report that the HVAC system is now fully operational at the Río Hondo College main campus.

All in-person classes and services at the main campus will resume as previously scheduled on Tuesday, Sept. 1.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we worked to resolve the issue and look forward to welcoming you back to campus tomorrow.

MAIN CAMPUS UPDATE | MONDAY, AUG. 31, 2026

Due to ongoing HVAC system repairs, effective at noon today all in-person classes and services on the main campus will be remote for the rest of the day/evening, Monday, Aug. 31.

Students should check Canvas and their College email for further instructions from their professor(s) regarding morning, afternoon and evening classes.

Student Services remain available remotely. Students needing assistance can access Student Services Zoom links online.

Classes tomorrow will continue as previously scheduled. Any changes to this plan will be communicated by 9:00 p.m. this evening (August 31).
Classes at the Educational Centers and all other off-site locations are not impacted and will continue as scheduled. Online classes continue as normal.

Join us on Saturday, September 12 from 8:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank (2300 Pellissier Place, City of Industry, CA, 90601, a 5-minute drive from Río Hondo College) for Hands Against Hunger Volunteer Day.

Ready to join us in the fight against hunger?

Join us for a volunteer day at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and help sort and pack food for individuals and families facing food insecurity in our community. Lunch is provided.

Today, Río Hondo College reaffirmed its commitment to a student-centered experience at the CARE Fall Orientation! 💛

Students came together to build community, receive school supplies, learn about program requirements and enjoy lunch. The event also featured inspiring remarks from EOPS/CARE alumna Dr. Monica Sanchez, Board of Trustees President Rosaelva Lomeli and Superintendent/President Dr. Don Moya-Miller.

With childcare available on-site, student parents were able to fully participate while their young children were cared for nearby—helping make support more accessible for the whole family.
