Team Río PD sprung into immediate action and, thankfully, were able to rescue this little cutie from the engine block of a car parked on campus. We are happy to report the kitten was immediately adopted into a loving home. A good night for all involved.

We are heart broken to hear about the passing of Deputy Levi Vargas during this year’s Baker to Vegas Law Enforcement Relay Race. What was supposed to be a weekend of fun and camaraderie representing Sam Dimas Station became the ultimate nightmare for his family, friends and partners. We send them our love and hugs. Rest in peace Deputy Vargas.
