👏🏼 Great Work in our PIO Department!!

Since February 24, 2023, was officially announced as Government Communicators Day in Texas and Wichita Falls! Yesterday and today, as government communicators, we're taking a well-deserved break!

But before we fully unwind, here's a snapshot of our 2023 accomplishments from the Public Information Office by the numbers. 📊

Did you know? Despite having just four dedicated team members—Chris Horgen as our Public Information Officer, Anndrea Harris leading our Social Media & Marketing efforts, Andrea Kidd managing our website and providing administrative support, and Sydney Hernson as our hardworking Public Information Intern—we achieved remarkable milestones:

•Our page gained 1,412 followers, reaching a total of 30,403 followers.

•We posted 1,382 times, reaching 887,720 people, with a monthly average reach of 388,401 people.

•We received a whopping 186.2K reactions and 25K reactions, comments, and shares on our posts.

•Our PIO shared 116 videos, garnering a total of 516,359 views.

•We designed 258 slides for the city’s channel 1300 cable program, covering various categories including Lake Level, Manhunt Monday, Crime of the Week, Most Wanted, and Bid Slides.

•We issued 191 press releases and produced 47 proclamations.

•We live-streamed 26 City Council Meetings.

•Our efforts resulted in 252,175 new users visiting the City Website.

Additionally, we're proud to announce that we won a TAMI AWARD in 2023 for a Social Media Video!
