Wichita County Sheriff's Office Successfully Passes TCOLE Audit

The Wichita County Sheriff's Office is proud to announce that we successfully passed our recent Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) audit with no deficiencies.

The audit reviews training records, licenses, policies, and procedures to make sure law enforcement agencies meet the standards required by the State of Texas. Passing with no deficiencies shows our commitment to professionalism, accountability, and providing the best service possible to the citizens of Wichita County.

This achievement would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our Training Division, led by Sgt. Eric Wisch, along with Deputy Bryan Peeler, Deputy Deondre Clark, and Deputy Darrell Waddleton. Their attention to detail and commitment to excellence played a major role in this success.

The Wichita County Sheriff's Office remains committed to serving our community with integrity, professionalism, and pride.

Professionalism. Accountability. Service.

Today, the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office honors the brave men and women who gave their lives for this nation. They sacrificed everything so we could live free.
While we gather with family and enjoy the freedoms they protected, remember the empty chairs at someone else’s table.
Freedom has a cost. Today, we honor those who paid it in full.

This morning, The East Project, along with members of the Wichita Falls City Council, the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office, Chief Miller of the Burkburnett Police Department, Sheppard AFB’s NCO Academy, Ray Dixon representing North Texas State Hospital, and Mark Dora with his family, gathered at Eastlawn Cemetery to clean the grounds and show respect to those laid to rest there.

Many of the families of those buried there no longer have surviving loved ones able to care for their resting places, making this act of service even more meaningful—especially for the many American veterans interred there.

It was truly an honor and a pleasure to work alongside such a dedicated group of people who care deeply about preserving dignity, respect, and remembrance for those who came before us.

Today, the Wichita County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting a multi-agency training exercise on eastbound U.S. 287 near Harmony Road at the weigh station.

This training will involve K-9 teams, drone operations, mounted units, and multiple law enforcement vehicles from several partner agencies. We want to let the public know this is a planned training event, not an emergency.

We have notified Iowa Park ISD, Iowa Park Police Department, and dispatch to help ensure the community is aware.

Training like this helps our agencies stay prepared and strengthens our ability to work together when real emergencies happen. Thank you for your understanding and support.

There were great conversations and thoughtful questions from those in attendance.
