πŸš—πŸ”§ SkillsUSA National Championships – Atlanta, GA πŸ”§πŸš—

Today is a big day for Kyle as he begins competition at the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference in Atlanta, Georgia! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Kyle will spend the entire day competing in 13 different automotive skill categories against the very best high school automotive technicians from across the country. Earning a spot at nationals is an incredible accomplishment, and we couldn't be more proud of the hard work, dedication, and countless hours of preparation that brought him here. The SkillsUSA National Championships bring together thousands of state champions from across the United States to showcase their technical skills and compete for national recognition.

This video captures the excitement as competitors enter the competition area and prepare to put their knowledge and skills to the test.

πŸ€ Good luck, Kyle! Your WFISD CTE and SkillsUSA family is cheering you on all the way from Texas!

It is a great day to be a part of the Wichita Falls FFA-Leila Dillard brought home the Texas FFA State 1st place banner in Soil Stewardship. I was not there for all of the hard work and long hours she put into the speech, but I was extremely happy to be there today and yesterday to see her bring home the banner. Not only did she do one 8 minute speech but she did two, they were similar yet different. If you see her please congratulate her on a well deserved first place Soil Stewardship banner and her 6th place (out of 24) Natural Resources banner. To say the least, the Wichita Falls FFA chapter is over the top proud of Leila.

A HUGE thank you to Yellowhouse Machinery for their incredible support of our students headed to SkillsUSA Nationals in Atlanta!

Yellowhouse generously donated $2,000 to help support our students on this amazing journey. They also donated tools to our State Automotive Champion and treated the entire group to lunch before departure.

Today, our students and teachers hit the road to Atlanta to represent WFISD CTE and Texas on the national stage! We are so proud of their hard work and dedication.

Please help us wish them GOOD LUCK at Nationals! πŸ€πŸ†

Thank you again, Yellowhouse, for investing in our students and believing in the future of skilled trades and career education! πŸ”§πŸš›πŸ‘
