Vehicle Fire

Jolly VFD was dispatched along side Henrietta VFD to a vehicle fire on Hwy 287N and Klein Rd. Vehicle was detached from it's trailer and pulled off into the ditch fully engulfed. Henrietta VFD arrived on scene and started putting out the fire, Jolly VFD arrived and assisted Henrietta. No injuries to the occupant of the vehicle.

Vehicle Accident

Crews responded for a vehicle accident on Hwy 287. Vehicle had slid off the road and ended up in the median. Thank you to TXDOT for helping with traffic control and keeping our guys safe.

Due to this rain we advise that everyone use precaution when driving today and stay safe.

Vehicle Accident

Last night crews responded to a vehicle rollover by the Wilson Overpass. Pt was entrapped in the vehicle, crews worked quickly to extract the Pt by removing the top hood of the vehicle. Pt was taken by CCEMS to the hospital for treatment.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OF NORMAN HAS ISSUED A RED FLAG WARNING UNTIL 7 PM SUNDAY FOR CLAY COUNTY. WINDS WILL BE NORTH 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 65 MPH. HUMIDITY AS LOW AS 15 TO 25 PERCENT.

🚒Spring Break Event🚒

The month of February showed many grass fires for the VFD, due to the dry grass and low humidity as well as strong winds we have been in a high fire danger.

We would like to remind our community that Clay County is still in a burn ban so please be very cautious and report any fires if you see any.

Just wanna start off by saying what a day the chili feed was. We had 74 runners show up that morning and approximately 200+ people attended the chili feed later that day! I gotta say that was probably the biggest crowd we have had so far!

Jolly VFD would like to congratulate the Honorary Fire Chief of 2025 Chandler Harvey, he showed amazing support to the VFD this last year and we will be presenting him a plaque as a thank you. To Crystal Bonds, from showing up at the department one day pitching us the idea of a 5K Fun Run, too putting in so much effort and made it a great event. We cannot express how thankful we are of your help.

Congratulations to everyone who won door prizes and to those that won the auction items. Now for the Pit Boss Smoker and the custom Fire Pit the winners were drawn last night and contacted. I'm sorry to say but if you did not receive a call then you did not win, your contribution however will go on to support our department with its cost for equipment and supplies for the coming year.

To you (our community) We are happy to see everyone enjoying the day with family and friends showing their support for the Department. We could not be here without you.

The business and individuals who made donations for this event, providing the door prizes and auction items as well as many other things the VFD thanks you for your contribution. Triple Cross Land and Cattle Co. your generous donation of meat that was used for the chili was very delicious and greatly appreciated. Without these donations our event would not have been as great as it was.

Jolly VFD is very blessed to have such a supportive community and we are excited to see what this year brings, we will always be here for you as you are for us!

The 5k Fun Run has ended today, the turn out of runners we had was amazing! We would like to thank everyone who came out and supported this event!
