I have said before it’s really great to work where my grandkids attend school. Jett graduated from 5th grade today and will be on the Jr./Sr. High campus next year. Mr. Stone let me hand Jett his diploma. Where has the time gone?!

CVISD Police Department participated in the Special Olympics today. I want to thank WFPD Officer Arias, Officer Trujillo, and Sgt. Vasquez, WCSO Deputy Chitwood and Deputy Beck, and Holliday Officer Simmons for their help. It was a good day. And of course I had to take a picture with my granddaughter Sailor.

I presented the 3 year security audit report to the CVISD Board of Trustees tonight. Check this off the list, now continue working on the policies for accreditation with the Texas Police Chiefs Association. Thankful to be at CVISD.

One of the best parts of my job is to be able to see my grandchildren during the day. I was doing some “community policing” at the elementary campus today, and was able to take a picture with Jett. I wanted to stay and learn some science. Science was never one of my strong suits.

The City View ISD Police Department was activated by TCOLE in August, 2020. The department consists of three full time officers, and one part time officer. Our main goal is the safety and security of students and staff. School Based Law Enforcement is a growing trend across the country. Currently, there are 340+ school district police departments in the State of Texas.
