We've received a few questions about this, so we wanted to clear things up.

In late June, ICT received more than 10 inches of rain overnight, flooding our underground electrical vault (see our June 26th post.) The flooding damaged several regulators that help power our airfield lighting system.

The good news? No flights were canceled because of the flooding. Our team quickly reconfigured the system to keep the lights operating while replacement equipment is manufactured.

The replacement regulators take about eight weeks to build and ship, which is why we're using the City's expedited purchasing process to get them here as quickly as possible.

Here's the bottom line: The airfield is, and has been, open and operational.
