💧Annual Backflow Testing Reminder💧

Backflow Prevention Devices are used to help prevent potentially contaminated water from flowing backward into the drinking water system. To ensure they are working properly, they must be tested yearly.

These devices are to be tested by July 1 of every year per city code. The most common use of a backflow preventor in the city is for irrigation systems utilizing city water.

All backflow tests must be submitted by the contractor of your choosing at https://www.veposolutions.com/backflowtesters

As a reminder, any underground sprinkler system utilizing city water must have a backflow preventer installed.

To avoid violations/ fees, Please:
✅Schedule your annual backflow test with the contractor of your choice
✅Confirm your contractor knows tests need submitted at the above website by July 1
✅Keep a copy for your records
If you have any questions, Please contact the Water department at 316-529-5940

Hello Haysville

05/13/2026

Starting tomorrow, Calvin Opp Concrete will begin removal and replacement of identified deficient sidewalk panels throughout the City.

Work will be limited to the public right of way and is part of the City’s ongoing efforts to improve pedestrian safety and accessibility.

Residents may see crews, equipment, and temporary closures in affected areas during construction.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as these improvements are completed.

🎉🚧 Sarah Lane Reopened! 🚧🎉

The wait is over!

Sarah Lane is officially open to vehicular and pedestrian traffic as of this Saturday at 12:00 PM.

This project required coordination, construction, and regulatory approvals through the Kansas Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. We were fortunate to receive expedited approvals, as reviews of this nature can sometimes take up to a year.

We appreciate the patience of our residents, businesses, and motorists throughout construction. Your cooperation allowed this project to move forward efficiently and safely.

Please drive carefully as traffic patterns resume, and enjoy the improved roadway.

Cured-In-Place Sewer Lining Project Begins This Week

The City will be starting our Cured In Place Liner Project this week. This process installs a new liner inside the existing sanitary sewer main to extend its life and improve reliability, all without excavation.

The work will be performed by Mayer’s Specialty. Their crews will have clearly marked vehicles and identification badges. They will be working in the neighborhood shown in the attached map and may need access to rear yard easements.

If you have any questions, please contact Public Works at (316) 529-5940. Thank you for your cooperation as we complete this important infrastructure improvement.
