Joint statement

Last week the Sedgwick County Republican Party leadership took a bold and necessary step to call for the resignation of State Representative Michael Capps. As local Republican organizations, we (Sedgwick County Black Republican Council, Republican National Hispanic Assembly of Kansas, Sedgwick County, Wichita State College Republicans, Sedgwick County Young Republicans, and Sedgwick County Teenage Republicans) stand united with the SCRP in their decision.

The kind of gutter politics that is portrayed in this ad will not be tolerated. Because of the investigate evidence that has linked Mr. Capps and his business to this ad, Mr. Capps is “persona non grata” at all of our events and within our organizations.
