The Vet-To-Vet Support Command, Inc. was established as a 501(c)3 non-profit veteran service provider in January, 2016 as a result of the need for additional support and connection to resources for disabled veterans in Sedgwick County, KS. is a sponsoring member of the Veteran Providers' Coalition of Sedgwick County (www.vpcsc.org) which unites various Veterans’ service organizations throughout Se

dgwick County to work as one for the advancement of Veteran causes and improve the day-to-day lives of Veterans who have returned home. program Lead Mentors are recruited, interviewed for stability, thoroughly screened with background checks, honorably discharged from the U.S. Armed Forces as verified by proof of their DD-214 and attend a Volunteer Training Workshop to learn program standards. Lead Mentors are matched with a Veteran who will benefit from having a trusted friend who serves as a role model as exampled in evidence-based recovery peer programs. coordinates Community Outreach Groups where Veterans gather to visit and get to know each other, offering them a sense of brotherhood.
