Ready to hit the water? Grab a kayak and enjoy a relaxing paddle at Watson Park! Just check in at the clubhouse for a quick safety briefing, sign a waiver, and you're ready to launch. Rentals are available on a first-come, first-served basis during business hours.

Rental Rates: Single Kayak: $10/hour

Have your own kayak? You're welcome to bring it! Simply check in at the clubhouse and sign a waiver before heading out on the water. Participants must be 12 years or older.

Dog Days of Summer
Monday, Sept. 7 | 5:30-7:30pm | College Hill Pool

Get ready for a tail-wagging good time as we celebrate the end of the aquatic season with our four-legged friends! Join us for Dog Days of Summer, a special evening where the pups take over the pool! Bring your pooch to splash, paddle, and play in the cool waters of College Hill Pool - specially reserved just for dogs on this day. The water is completely safe for canine swimmers, and it’s the perfect way to let your furry companions beat the heat while enjoying the company of other playful pups.

Chemical levels will be safe for dogs - but not humans - so people can only be in the water up to their knees. Children are not allowed in the pool while dogs are swimming. All dogs must be leashed when not in the pool.

Is your furry friend on the smaller side? No worries! We have time reserved just for them to come and cool off with us! Get access to the pool first from 5:30 to 6:00 PM. Starting at 6:00 PM, the pool will open to larger dogs - small dogs are welcome to stay during this time, however, it may get very busy!

This unique event is also a fundraiser for the Kansas Humane Society, so your participation helps support animals in need across our community. Don't miss out on this splash-tastic evening - mark your calendars and make a difference, one paw at a time! Entrance fees are $10 per dog and $1 per spectator. We can't wait to see everyone with their pups!

🏊 Final Day of Pool Season! Due to staffing limitations, only Minisa, College Hill and Harvest Pools will be open today from 1–6 p.m. Today marks the final day of the 2026 pool season. Splash pads will remain open through Sunday, September 27, visit wichita.gov/splashpads for details.

🐾 Dog Days of Summer will take place Monday, September 7, at College Hill Pool in support of the Kansas Humane Society.

One of the goals of Open Streets ICT events is to display the culture of the neighborhood, and to get participants to engage with surrounding businesses and organizations. At Open Streets ICT, you can host an activity, represent your business, sell your products or all three! All businesses along the route are welcome to apply for free, while other family and pet-friendly businesses and organizations are welcome to apply for a small fee.
