373 TRS/Detachment 8 Future KC-46 Regional Maintenance Training Facility

Detachment 8 (Det 8) is an Air Education & Training Command unit permanently assigned to McConnell AFB, Kansas. Det 8's parent unit; the 373d Training Squadron, 982d Training Group, 82d Training Wing, is located at Sheppard AFB, Texas. We offer 41 maintenance courses for Active Duty, Reserve, and Air National Guard members stationed worldwide. Our courses consist of Crew Chief, Propulsion, Hydraul

ics, Electrical and Environmental, Fuels, Communication and Navigation, Instrument Flight Control Systems, and Aerospace Ground Equipment. Our members consist of our Detachment Chief, Production Supervisor/Scheduler, Avionics Flight Chief, Mechanical Flight Chief, 7 Crew Chief instructors, 2 Jet Engine instructors, 1 Hydraulic instructor, 1 Electrical and Environmental instructor, 3 Communication and Navigation instructors, 2 Instrument Flight Control Systems instructor, 1 Fuels instructor, and 1 Aerospace Ground Equipment instructor.
