The Stucky Storm Forecast is live! Next week is Spirit Week for Bullying Prevention with a different theme each day. Monday - wear your favorite team gear, Tuesday - wear pajamas, Wednesday - wear crazy socks or a crazy hairstyle, Thursday - wear black & orange or something Halloween-themed, Friday - wear Stucky gear. The Halloween Dance is Friday from 6-8 pm and tickets will be sold Monday-Thursday during both lunches. Wednesday there is a cross-country meet at Cessna Activity from 4-6 pm. Friday classes will be shortened for the Activity Schedule. At the end of the day, the school will watch the students take on the staff on the volleyball court! It should be a fun-filled week!

October is a busy month for Stucky band students! On Friday, October 2nd Stucky band students joined the Heights band for Muddle School Band Night. Then, on Wednesday, October 14th, 7th grade Stucky band members traveled to WSU for its Middle School Band Day. Tonight night the band and orchestra have a concert. Way to go, Stucky Band!

8th grade Stucky Families, students have a field trip opportunity coming up. On Tuesday, November 10th students can visit WSU for a tour of the campus and a women's basketball game. They must meet the criteria: fewer than 10 tardies for 2nd quarter, which began October 19th, no F's and no ISS or OSS. If students meet these criteria, then they must turn in a signed permission slip by Monday, November 2.

What is a bond?
• A bond is similar to how a family might take out a mortgage to buy or renovate a home. A bond is how school districts in Kansas pay for major building and facility projects, as the district’s capital budget is intended to cover smaller repairs and predictive and preventative maintenance.
• In Kansas, a school bond must be approved by voters. If approved, the district repays the bond over time using local property taxes.
• A bond is used for long-term investments in buildings and infrastructure. It can’t be used for day-to-day school expenses such as paying teacher salaries or other operational expenses.
