What we learn from you will be used to develop transit improvement concepts for the community. The concepts will address issues of service coverage, frequencies

, hours, and ridership. Ultimately, we’ll create a policy report that identifies transit priorities and policy considerations for key elements, such as funding needs, options, and level of support.

Why the update?
We’re updating our schedules to add school routes and adjust service to better serve area schools and students.

📅 Updated schedules are now available!
Visit WichitaTransit.org or scan the QR code to view current maps and schedules.

📍 Use the myStop app or WichitaTransit.org to track buses in real time.

🚌 Please note: The Q-Line will transition to Route 24 – College Hill. It will continue traveling in the same direction and will be free of charge until further notice.

The City of Wichita is extending efforts to provide heat relief through Sunday, August 16.

Transit will continue offering free rides to cooling stations to allow residents to escape the heat and travel to one of the City’s free public resources, including Wichita Public Libraries, recreation centers or neighborhood resource centers.

Riders can travel to a cooling station by simply boarding a Wichita Transit bus and telling their driver to which location they are traveling. Vouchers will not be required effective today. Buses will pick riders back up at the cooling stations and allow them to exit at any stop along the route. Information on routes may be found at Wichita.gov/transit.

It's going to be a hot week! 🌡☀

Beginning today, Monday, August 10 through Thursday, August 13, Wichita Transit will offer free, one-time use vouchers to allow riders to escape the heat and travel to one of the City’s free, public resources, including Wichita Public Libraries, recreation centers or neighborhood resource centers. Riders can pick up a voucher at the Hub, 207 S. Sycamore or by boarding the bus and advising the driver which cooling center the rider needs to get to. Riders will need to pick a cooling center along that route to avoid being charged fare for any transfers. The driver will allow the rider to board and provide them with their ticket to be exchanged at the cooling center. These vouchers must be exchanged at a Wichita Public Library, recreation center or neighborhood resource center for a return ride ticket.
