Starting Monday, August 31, Broadway just south of Central will close for renovations at a local cathedral. The closure will be in place for approximately two weeks!

Beginning Wednesday, August 26, 21st Street will be closed to eastbound traffic between Park Place and Market for approximately six weeks. Improvements are being made to 21st Street and adjacent pedestrian infrastructure.

There will be an available detour utilizing south on Waco to 13th Street, east on 13th Street to Broadway, and north on Broadway back to 21st Street.

The City recognizes that construction and temporary traffic changes can create inconveniences for residents, businesses, schools and motorists along the corridor.

Quick reminder on Minisa, especially for kids and parents starting the school year:

13th Street North is fully closed at the bridge. Traffic is detoured utilizing McLean, 21st Street North, and Waco Avenue. 13th Street remains open to local traffic from Waco to Bitting for access to local businesses and North High School.

Beginning Wednesday, August 12, the bridge will be open to pedestrian traffic only, with an anticipated opening to cars this fall.
