For the last month, EMS District Chiefs and Captains have been taking part in a Critical Care Academy. They attended weekly classes to retain their skills in medical treatments that aren’t used often but are important to know. The course was taught by Sedgwick County EMS Training Officers and developed in conjunction with the Office of the Medical Director.

Our EMS Bike Team was out for their last scheduled event of the year today, braving the cold to take care of spectators and runners at this year’s Turkey Trot. 🚴‍♂️❄️🦃
This team has covered 15 major events in 2025, specializing in large-scale community gatherings where getting an ambulance into the crowd can be a challenge. Their mobility and rapid response help us start patient care quickly when seconds matter.
We’re proud of their dedication and community service all year long. 💛

The 4th annual lunch celebrating National First Responder Appreciation Day saw hundreds of visitors. Proceeds benefited the Wichita Police and Fire Foundation.

Although it was a cool, dreary day, ServePro and the Wichita Police and Fire Foundation kindly provided us with a hot meal and stuffed animals for our pediatric patients. We appreciate everyone who participated and braved the cold to offer a delicious meal to multiple first responders.
