Happy National Dog Day!

Today is a reminder that well-connected sidewalks and safe crossings serve many kinds of trips - whether people are walking, rolling, jogging, spending time outdoors, or walking a pet.

WAMPO works with regional partners to plan transportation options that help make transportation in the region safer and more connected for everyone. Check out our sidewalk map at www.wampo.org/bicycle-pedestrian.

The Regional Active Transportation Plan is officially underway, and we're excited to welcome Marty Shukert with RDG Planning & Design to the WAMPO region!

Over the next few weeks, Marty will be traveling by bicycle throughout the WAMPO region to experience our transportation network firsthand. Marty and WAMPO staff are meeting with local communities to discuss their priorities and working to identify opportunities to improve walking, biking, and rolling throughout the region.

Fieldwork like this is an important step in developing a plan that reflects the unique character and transportation needs of each WAMPO jurisdiction. We look forward to sharing updates as the planning process continues, and be sure to say hi if you see Marty ride by!
